Waymarks in this category mark the coordinates for pyramids, or buildings that have pyramid elements in them.
Expanded Description:

Waymarks in this category are intended for true pyramids (e.g. Egypt, Mexico), or buildings that have pyramid shapes incorporated in them (e.g. the top of the Washington Monument in D.C., the Louvre in Paris). We are not looking for small pyramids, but rather pyramids that are over 10 feet (3 meters) in height

The shape should be a true "pyramid" shape, having a base with four sides. Also accepted as per the Wikipedia definition of a pyramid ... "any three-dimensional polyhedron where the faces other than the base are triangular and converge on one point, called the apex".

These waymarks should be of interest, worth the visit to that location. Things you would not want to list: a small pyramid shape at the top of a motel, a small pyramid shape in a park, etc.

We will allow pyramids that are stretched in height (not having equilateral sides). They still should meet the 10 foot (3 meters) height rule.

Requirement 05/03/2019 : We do not accept obelisks because they have their own category.

Instructions for Posting a Pyramids Waymark:

When posting a waymark, include a photograph of the location, with as accurate coordinates as possible. If the pyramid is atop a building, you can mark the entrance to the building.

If it would be easier to see the pyramid from a distance, you can take a picture from a distant location, but still try to get accurate coordinates for the actual location. If you are not allowed close to the pyramid, you can post coordinates at a location that gives the best viewing of the pyramid.

Provide at least two different photos , one must be a close up photo of the Pyramid and the other showing the Pyramid and its surroundings. (It has to be daylight photos of good quality taken by you.)

Include as much information as you can get about it in the long description. If you can not find any informations, at least three sentences are required, that could include describing the pyramid, its environment, and why you came upon the pyramid. The three sentences requirement is a personal narrative.

Waymarks without Long / Detailed description will not be accepted. Citations are allowed, but must be clearly declared, including the source. The description must be in English, but if you want you can add other languages.

Naming requirement : Pyramid name or building name - City - State or Country
