A category for steam powered equipment both mobile and stationary.
Expanded Description:
Steam has been used for years to power the engines used in plants that refined materials to process goods. Equipment such as crawlers with various attachments used in construction to build our roads and dig canals.

Steam cranes and wrecking balls to build or take down buildings. Shovels and draglines were put to use to mine minerals and materials from the ground, including coal which was used as a fuel for these mighty machines.

In forestry and lumber mills stationary engines sometimes called "donkeys" pulled logs that would be cut into lumber. Wood was another resource used as fuel.

Steam is what powered the industrial revolution and in some form or another it touched all our lives weather it was for food, clothing or shelter. This category is to log and commemorate that equipment no matter where it's found.

What Is Accepted:
Any steam powered machinery/equipment on permanent display or still in use. Steam shovels, cranes, stationary engines, bulldozers and all variations of.
Steam powered rail equipment can be submitted to this category since they are not considered to be "locomotives" as well as tractors that were built or modified to be used for purposes other than strictly agricultural, general farm use.

What Is Not Accepted:
Tractors and locomotives. They have their own place, please submit them to their respective categories.

Instructions for Posting a Steam Powered Equipment Waymark:
Any steam powered equipment/machinery may be submitted with the exception of Old Tractors and Locomotives.
Steam powered rail equipment can be submitted to this category since they are not considered to be "locomotives" as well as tractors that were built or modified to be used for purposes other than strictly agricultural, general farm use.

Please submit only waymarks that can be viewed publicly either on display or on public lands or from a public access area.

You must include a clear picture of the waymark along with any other images that relate.

The title should have the 1. name (or what the subject is if no name or title is known), 2. city, and 3. state/province in that order.

Please don't just say "A crane" or whatever it may be in the "Detailed Description" and be creative.
