Description:
The goal of this category is to Waymark flatiron buildings throughout the world. These triangular-shaped buildings are created to take advantage of odd shaped lots that occur where streets, railroad tracks, or other structures come together at less than right angles. We offer a home for these, even those that may not be that oddly shaped.
Expanded Description:
Flatiron buildings are structures that are shaped like a triangle or a piece of pie. This is often done to take advantage of an odd shaped lot such as where two streets come together at less than a right angle. This often leads to a very interesting structure.

Here is an example of what one looks like. Note that this one is very obvious, even having "flatiron" on the facade. This is helpful for the waymark-challenged among us.

The term 23 skidoo is reputed to come from the notable flatiron on 23rd Street in New York.

Instructions for Posting a Flatirons Waymark:
The building should have a primary corner angled less than 90°. Do a bit of research into the building history, date of construction, etc., and include this information. Mention too what the current use of the structure is. Please include at least two photos to make it clear that this is a flatiron. I would also like to see any interesting cornerstones or other architectural features with your photos. If you find a webpage that applies to your waymark, include this with your submission.
Instructions for Visiting a Waymark in this Category:
If you visit an existing waymark in this category, please include another picture of the subject, as well as any impressions you have of the location.
