 allows ratings
Description:
The 'World's Largest Ball of Twine' or a ten-story toothbrush... these are the type of waymarks that belong here. Nothing less than 20-feet in size accepted.
Expanded Description:
Ginormous everyday objects at outrageous dimensions can be found all over the world. Please view previously-approved waymarks and declines as well as the pictures below to get an idea of what we're looking for BEFORE you submit a waymark to this category. If your waymark doesn't quite fit into this category, it may qualify in the Giants of Commerce category, the Highway Giants - Muffler Men category or the Elevated Everyday Objects and the Realistic Object Sculptures categories.

Instructions for Posting a Ginormous Everyday Objects Waymark:

EFFECTIVE 1/04/2019 - A MINIMUM of two sentences are required in the long description.

If you come across the 'Biggest Pair of Cowboy Boots in Existence', take a picture and record the latitude/longitude of the location as a new waymark. Please limit submissions to only the TRULY ginormous. If it fits inside a building, it isn't ginormous (unless the building itself is especially huge). The dimensions of the ginormous object should be measured in STOREYS, not inches. Nothing less than about 20 feet in size will be accepted. "Larger than life" is not cutting it. It's just gotta be, you know, BIG.

*Guidelines updated on 1/03/2007* Animals and people will no longer be accepted. We're looking for OBJECTS only! Flags and crosses will also not be accepted. Any waymarks not meeting the requirement before this date are grandfathered in.

Please do NOT include a picture of yourself nor your GPS in the default photo. BUT... a second photo of you or someone standing next to this ginormous object for size comparison will be very helpful to officers in determining if your submission meets the category requirements.

Please include the height of the object in your long description.

EFFECTIVE 1/04/2019 - A MINIMUM of two sentences are required in the long description.

Now fancy modern coffees keep America alert -- and you have to be alert to spot any of the dwindling population of original big coffee pots. We spotted this one and had to create a waymark for it.
