Description:: Find a Welcome sign with a slogan on it.

Expanded Description:

There are many areas that have welcome signs. Towns, Cities, Neighborhoods, Subdivisions, Unincorporated Villages, Boroughs, Counties, States. Find some that have slogans, nicknames or mottos on them as well! What is unique about this community?

Examples: "Burkesville County, The Best Kept Secret in Kentucky!", "Main, the Way Life Should Be", "Wenatchee, Apple Capitol of the World".

DO NOT use a welcome sign with just its name. The sign must have a slogan, motto or nickname on it as well as the name.

If there is more than one welcome sign with the slogan on it for the community, for instance, coming in from different directions, then they are eligible for this category as well.

Instructions for Posting a Welcome Signs Waymark:

1. Sign must be for a Town, Neighborhood, Subdivision, Unincorporated Village, Borough, County, State or something along those lines. The sign MUST have a slogan, motto or nickname on it as well as the community name.

2. Coordinates must be taken as close to the sign as you can, so that others can find it.

3. Take a close up picture that clearly shows what the sign says. Sometimes welcome spots have nice landscaping around them....extra points if you post a picture of that as well.

4. The name of your waymark must have the name of the town, neighborhood, ect. in it, as well as the State name.

5. Please try and find out the history of the name if you can. Why did they choose it? What is the story behind it?
