Wild (unmanaged) caves with exceptional and/or delicate and unprotected decoration or threatened wildlife (e.g. bat nurseries) are excluded. Be aware that anyone within the waymarking community making a request to the managers to archive a wild cave on the grounds that exceptional decoration or threatened wildlife exists there will be honored.
In the long description, please describe the cave in at least one sentence (a good, detailed account of your personal experience is highly encouraged). Waymarks should also include in the description any exceptional hazards that may be encountered if the cave is entered.Failure to include a minimum of one sentence describing the cave will result in your waymark being denied.

Removal or collecting of any kind of sample (interesting rocks, pebbles, fossils, sand, stalagtites, stalagmites, other cave decoration, etc.) is never to be encouraged or implicitly tolerated in the submission of any waymark in this category. Waymark descriptions should always adhere to the "Leave no trace" philosophy.
