Description:
The Wesleyan Church is an evangelical, Protestant denomination. This category's purpose is to find buildings belonging to this denomination that are currently being used as places of worship.
Expanded Description:

The Wesleyan Church split from the Methodist Episcopal church in 1843 mainly due to the issue of slavery. From their web site:

"The Wesleyan Church is an evangelical, Protestant denomination. We offer the good news that faith in Jesus Christ makes possible a wonderful personal relationship with God, a holy life empowered by His Spirit for witness and service, and assurance of eternal life in heaven. Our ministries emphasize practical Bible teaching, uplifting worship, and special programs to meet a variety of life needs.

With World Headquarters in Fishers, Indiana, The Wesleyan Church has nearly 400,000 constituents in 5,000 churches and missions in 80 countries of the world. Formed in 1968 resulting from the mergers between several like-minded groups, dating back as far as 1843, The Wesleyan Church has its roots in John Wesley’s Methodism."

Waymarks should include buildings that are currently being used as places of worship.

Instructions for Posting a Wesleyan Churches Waymark:

To post a waymark, visit the building and obtain GPS coordinates. Take at least two photos of the building. The first should show as much of the building as possible. The second should show a sign showing the the church name. If one does not exist, then this photo is not required, but this should be mentioned in the private message.

Next find out the address of the church, worship service hours, and their web site (if they have one). Also try to find out when the building was constructed, when the church was organized, and what district it belongs to. Any other information about regular activities such as Bible study is welcome.

You may find some of the above information at the wesleyan web site. This web site has a list of Wesleyan Districts that also may assist you. You may also need to call the church.

Instructions for Visiting a Waymark in this Category:
To visit the waymark, you must physically go to the building. If you can, take a photo of the building. If you cannot take a photo, then please describe your visit so that we can get a "mental image" of it.
