Waymarks that fit in this category can range from the great pyramids and ruins of the Maya and Inca to smaller ruins and more subtle evidence such as bedrock mortars (Indian grinding holes) and Yoni rock sculpture.

Any evidence of Native American culture and habitation may qualify. If you find one of these sites, remember that these sites may still be considered sacred and treat them as such. Remember that all Native American sites are protected by U.S. Federal Law.

Do not disturb the site in any way.

In order to qualify the waymark must:

    Be permanent

Likely created prior to the arrival of Europeans

    Be in the Western Hemisphere

Be in their natural context (museums and reconstructions will not be accepted)

Not knowingly infringe on sacred land.
