A category to waymark LEED® Certified Buildings.
Expanded Description:
Buildings that are certified by the Green Building Council and show Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®). Projects can be found in 41 different countries around the world. These buildings have many environmental, economic and health benifits. LEED® is a family of standards that apply to many different building types including new buildings, existing buildings, core and shell, commercial interiors, homes, schools, healthcare, etc.
There are 4 levels of certification:
Certified,
Silver,
Gold and
Platinum.
These levels are determined by a scoring system based on 6 different categories. Platinum certification is the hightest level attainable.
Instructions for Posting a LEED® Certified Buildings Waymark:
To post a waymark in this category:
1. Please include coordinates from the main entrance of the facility or from the LEED® plaque. They are usually prominantly displayed.
2. Post at least one photo of the building or a photo of the LEED® plaque. Photos with you or your GPS are not needed.
3. Any additional information or history about the building.

NOTE: A LEED® project list can be obtained from the U.S. Green Building Council website.

1. Please provide at least one photograph of the building or LEED® plaque with your GPS. Additional photographs of special features are encouraged.
