Description:
This category will collect all the places that were childhood homes to famous people.
Expanded Description:
Waymarks that should be placed in this category are the places that can be verified that a famous person grew up at that specific location.

Famous is defined as having "widespread reputation", this includes the 'infamous'. It is to the discretion of the submitter/approving Officer to clarify the famous-ness of the subject. Subjects with questionable levels of 'fame' will be sent for group vote.

Acceptable waymarks follow these guidelines:
- Location is open to the public
- Location is advertised for the reason of being a childhood home of someone famous

Please respect the current residents of the house. As stated above, the current resident must advertise the house as such. Even if it is a locally known fact that XYZ celebrity lived in that house, we violate the current resident's privacy by posting it. If they want to advertise it, then, it may be submitted.
Instructions for Posting a Childhood Homes Waymark:
Requirements for posting a waymark include, but not limited to:

1. Name of the famous person. In the title of waymark, use "Name - City, State/Province"

2. Physical address of the house.

3. What that person is famous for

4. Information verifying that the location is, in fact, the former home of that person. This information can be signage posted by the community, 3rd party websites (link must be provided) or other verifiable, reliable information. Again, review the privacy statements above.

5. Information regarding the 'usage' of the site as it pertains to the significance of the site. For example, gift shops, tours of the local area, other tie-ins to the local area. *note-if you are using cut/copy/paste, please cite your source.

6. Photos must include a photo of the placard/sign that advertises the site as the home of a famous person.
Instructions for Visiting a Waymark in this Category:
New logs must include information regarding the waymark. This can include photos, information about tours or even the confirmation that the waymark is still in existence.
