Expanded Description:

Banking has been a part of daily life for many people. Banking goes bank to the ancient world, before the invention of currency. Back in 3000 B.C. banks probably dealt with the grains and other collateral. Since then, banks have evolved into what they are today.

This category is to waymark former banks that now serve other purposed. The building can house a different business, be used for residential purposes or is simply vacant. Many of these former banks are elaborate with architectural details on the building's facade.

NOTE: The bank must not still house a bank (even if the bank is a different banking corporation than the building's original occupants.

ALSO: The bank also must have been built at least 50 years ago. This requirement will eliminate the average modern bank branches that have closed and are used as something else.
