This category is for documenting the locations that are Salvation Army related, internationally. These can include churches, camps, schools, centers, etc.

The Salvation Army was founded in London, England in 1865 by one-time Methodist minister William Booth and his wife Catherine. According to Wikipedia, its claimed membership includes more than 17,000 active and more than 8,700 retired officers, 1,041,461 soldiers, around 100,000 other employees and more than 4.5 million volunteers. The Salvation Army works in 117 countries, provides services in 175 different languages, and is well known for its evangelical, social and charitable work.

We are looking for Salvation Army churches, camps, schools, family stores, centers, plaques, or monuments. Also included are the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Centers. This category is not for documenting temporary items such as donation boxes or red kettle sites.

1. NAME: The name of the facility and its location should be included in the title.

     • The Salvation Army's International Headquarters - London, England

2. COORDINATES: Use coordinates taken by you from near the main entrance or site.

3. DESCRIPTION: Indicate what the facility is used for, who uses it, any hours or services. For plaques or monuments, write the text shown upon it and any additional information found.

4. PHOTO: A close-up original photo of the facility sign or plaque, if possible, and a wide-angle photo of the facility or site is required. A photo with the GPSr is not necessary.

5. TERRITORY: Indicate the official Salvation Army Territory as listed on the Salvation Army website (these will open in a new window).
