Locations that feature a memorial to September 11.
Expanded Description:
Memorials to September 11, whether it be to a victim or victims, a firefighting or rescue squad responsible for helping at either the World Trade Centers, Pentagon, or the location of the crash of Flight 93. These memorials are located in various states (not just DC, Virginia, New York, and Pennsylvania) and around the world. Plaques, statues, or other memorials (such as benches, sculptures, etc.) are perfect candidates for this category.
Instructions for Posting a 9/11 Memorial Sites Waymark:
Waymarks that are submitted without the following will not be accepted:
  1. A picture of the memorial (as many as possible). Pictures must be original, non-copyrighted (ie no public images) photos from the site.
  2. Coordinates must be obtained with a GPS at the memorial site.
  3. The name and city/state of the memorial must be used as the title
  4. In your description, specify the type of memorial (ie sculpture, plaque, statue, etc.) and its location (roadside, park, building, etc.)
  5. Fill out the required (and optional, if available) fields requested in the form.
  • Any other information about the location, the person (or persons) it is dedicated to, etc would be beneficial to the waymark.
  • Instructions for Visiting a Waymark in this Category:
    A picture of yourself (or your GPS if you are alone and cannot get someone to take your picture) at the memorial. Logs without pictures should be deleted by the waymark owner.
