Instructions for Posting a Closed Drive-In Theatres Waymark:
All drive-ins must be posted with the actual drive-in name as it stands or once stood. Please don't submit "Unknown Drive-in Theatre" It will be denied.

Please update any new information in your description as you come across it.

Existing, but closed drive-ins, should include at least one of the following: A picture of the drive-ins current condition, historical image, flier, newspaper ad or article, etc. or a topo image or aerial photo can be submitted. In the description try to give as many details on the drive-in as possible.

To post a drive-in that no longer remains include something to show that it did actually exist. You know it was there but you have to prove it! (This can be a tough one to come up with and might mean some more work, but it can usually be done, so if you get stumped, contact us and we will be glad to help you out.)

A category already exists for open drive-ins, please post open ones there. If you post a closed drive-in to the "Closed Drive-In Theatres" category, and it does reopen, please update your waymark description and let us know the good news. Your waymark will be grandfathered in and will remain. Then please go and add it to the open "Drive-In Movie Theaters" category.

We will also accept drive-ins from the open category if they happen to go dark and the land for sale to developers or are unfortunate enough to have been torn down. Just make sure they are truly closed and not just for the season or repair. Hopefully we won't get any! Thank you!
Instructions for Visiting a Waymark in this Category:
When logging a visit to a dark or no longer existing drive-in theatre, please try to add one of the following: A picture of you visiting the location or anything historical, an image, flier, newspaper ad, etc. or in your log describe any memories you may have of visiting the drive-in when it was open. If you have information, such as when it opened or closed, and the person who posted the waymark does not, you might consider contacting them so they can add the new info to their description as well.
