Instructions for Posting a Great Lines of Earth Waymark:

There must be some kind of man-made object, marker, sign or plaque that marks the great line in question. It doesn't need to to have any written coordinates. Plain text is enough as long as there is something that proves the object is placed to indicate one of the great lines of Earth.

Name your waymark using following format.
[name of degree of latitude, longitude, major circle or historical meridian] [What kind of object] - [City, Country].
For example. Arctic Circle sign - Rovaniemi, Finland

Measure accurately the waymark's location with your GPSr. These are waymarks coordinates!

(Added 24.8.2009)Each marker can only be waymarked once in this category. So if there is a marker that have coordinates in equal degree of latitude and longitude meaning it is Confluence point. That would one waymark in this category.

Tolerance: Give the distance and direction between your GPSr reading of the location and the actual location of the great line that your waymark represents.

Tell us what is written on object about the great line that you have waymarked.

At least TWO photos are required. One should be a clear close-up of the marker or object, and one must be a wide view showing the marker or object in its surroundings. Photos showing yourself, your group, or your GPSr are also welcomed, but optional.

Instructions for Visiting a Waymark in this Category:
Post a picture of the object and tell something about your visit at site.
