Description:
A train caboose was usually the last car on a freight train, goods train, or passenger train, used as crew quarters or as a brake car at the rear of the train. In some parts of the world, these cars are called "Brake Vans" or "Guard Vans"

This category is for the logging of permanently displayed train caboose cars, brake vans or guard vans.
Expanded Description:
This category is for waymarking individual train cabooses which have been placed in a permanent location for reasons other than railroad storage. Cabooses may qualify if they are on permanent display in a public park, used as any sort of stationary office, shop, home, motel, food service facility, or other facility. Other cabooses in use may qualify as well as long as they are in a location permanent enough to be easily found by a visitor (i.e. on a scenic loop railroad with hourly stops at a station).

Locations that have more than one caboose should not be lumped into one waymark. Please list each caboose independently.

Cabooses parked on a side rail line or cabooses still in use on a rail-line do not qualify for this category.
