Scouting or Scout Movement, founded by Lord Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden-Powell in 1907, is a educational, voluntary, nonpartisan, nonprofit worldwide movement. Is proposal is the development of the young, through a value system that prioritizes the honor, based on the Scout Promise and Law, and through the practice of teamwork and outdoor lifestyle, making the young take its own growth, becoming an example of brotherhood, loyalty, altruism, responsibility, respect and discipline. As of 2008, there are over 31 million registered Scouts and 10 million registered Guides around the world, from 216 countries and territories. (Source)

The Fleur-de-lis is the main element in the logo of most Scouting organizations, representing a major theme in Scouts Monuments, Memorials and Plaques. Please indicate as variable if the monument, memorial or plaque have it in some way.

This category is for:
Waymarking Scouting Monuments, Memorials and Plaques worldwide that are outdoor, permanent and in a public place where everybody can visit it.

Below are some examples of what is acceptable in this category:
Stone on Brownsea Island commemorating the first Scout camp.
Sculpture erected in 1982 to commemorate the 1979 Jamboree at Perry LakesWestern Australia and 75 years of Scouting.
Monument to commemorate  the 50 years of the scout group of Delães.
Monument reminiscent of the Centennial of Scouting and 95 years of Scouting in Portugal.


This category is NOT for:
- Scouting Headquarters
- Boy Scout Camps
- Girl Scout Gold Award Project Sites
- Eagle Scout Project Sites
- Statues of Liberty(The Boy Scouts of America placed approximately two hundred 100-inch (2.5 m) replicas of the statue to celebrated their fortieth anniversary in 1950)
Each has their own category.
- Also places with names of people for example: Baden-Powell Street, Baden-Powell Scout Camp or Baden-Powell Bridge. (Some can be placed in People-Named Places)

- Please provide at least two different good quality daylight photos, one of the monument, memorial or plaque and other more general showing the monument, memorial or plaque and its surroundings.

- Additional photographs with detail (Such as: text, dedication, fleur-de-lis  ) would be appreciated.

 - Includes all information that you can get of the monument, memorial or plaque in the Long/Detailed Description, if your description is not in English, please add at least a short description in English.

NOTE: Extraneous elements, such as counters, banners, widgets or other personal embellishments and hyperlinks that do not enhance the waymark directly, will be NOT accepted and will result in the waymark being declined.

- If possible, please indicate which Scouting organization or other responsible for the placement of the monument, memorial or plaque.

- Please indicate as variable if the monument, memorial or plaque have the Fleur-de-lis  in some way.

- Please make every attempt to following the naming convention below:
Name - City/State, Country
