Managed By: Icon Here Say Cheeze
Say Cheeeze! This category gives people the opportunity to have fun with waymarks by documenting their interaction with photo cutouts. Traditionally made of painted plywood with cutouts where the face would be, these popular attractions are common in tourist venues, businesses, parks, and other public locations. Adults and children alike rarely pass up the opportunity to slip their heads into place and say "Cheeeze!"
Expanded Description:
All across the world children are, at this very moment, waiting with chins pressed against plywood as mom or dad adjusts the camera. They are happily posing with cutout paintings, headless bodies of people, animals, flowers, vegetables, and any other sort of object that might, at that moment, need a face. It is an opportunity for them to act silly, to be a “part” of the attraction, and to make that location very personal.
Cutout photo opportunities have been around for years. They gravitate toward any location where tourists might gather: along boardwalks, at Museums, in businesses, and even in public parks . Photos of this genre are popular souvenirs and have graced scrapbooks for generations. This category will begin the process of documenting their locations so that waymarking travelers can seek them out for souvenirs of their own.

Proposed waymarks must show these cutouts "in use" with someone posing in place. Only cutouts specifically designed for this purpose and permanently fixed in their location will be accepted. For instance, posing with a headless mannequin or piece of sculpture would not be acceptable. Nor will temporary "traveling" cutouts such as those found at County fairs or one-time events.
