From the civilwar.org website:
The Greensboro Historical Museum serves as the local history museum with an extensive military history exhibit and Civil War-related items. The collection includes: a rare Tarpley carbine, made in Greensboro during the Civil War; haversack contents; weapons; a display featuring the Guilford Grays, a local volunteer militia unit; a Confederate school-text; a bust of Stephen A. Douglas; and excerpts from a local residents Civil War diary about life in Greensboro. The museum property was the site of a Confederate hospital after the Battle of Bentonville; several Civil War veterans are buried in the First Presbyterian Church cemetery now a part of the museum complex.
