Mitchell's downtown is filled with great neon, quaint brick buildings, and most importantly, the famous Corn Palace.
The bright, large Corn Palace dominates the view, but if you venture down the street you'll find a Carnegie library building with beautiful WPA murals, old churches and a great old train depot.
This town is also home to the Dakota Wesleyan University, also listed on the National Historic Register.
