DESCRIBED BY LEXINGTON COUNTY SOUTH CAROLINA 2002 (DDW) STATION IS LOCATED 7.7 MILES NORTH OF SUMMIT, 12.7 MILES WEST NORTHWEST OF LEXINGTON. OWNERSHIP--SCDOT, DIRECTOR OF PRECONSTRUCTION, P.O. BOX 191, COLUMBIA, SC 29202, PHONE 803-737-1350. TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE TRAFFIC CIRCLE JUNCTION OF U.S. HIGHWAY 378 AND STATE HIGHWAY 391, 8.9 MILES NORTH OF LEESVILLE, GO EAST SOUTHEAST ON HIGHWAY 378 FOR 5.45 MILES TO THE JUNCTION OF STATE ROAD 1189 (LAKE VILLAGE ROAD), TURN LEFT ON ROAD 1189 FOR 0.95 MILE TO THE STATION AHEAD NEAR A POWER POLE IN THE NORTH ANGLE OF THE JUNCTION OF STATE ROAD 1497 AND A SAND ROAD (RED STAR ROAD). STATION IS A CONCRETE POST FLUSH WITH THE GROUND AND 0.5 FOOT BELOW THE ROADS, 21.2 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE CENTER OF ROAD 1497, 62.4 FEET EAST OF THE EXTENDED CENTER OF ROAD 1189, 13.5 FEET SOUTH OF THE POWER POLE WITH GUY WIRE, 10.6 FEET SOUTH OF A TELEPHONE JUNCTION BOX NUMBER 9, 4.2 FEET WEST NORTHWEST OF A ROUND METAL WATER VALVE COVER SURROUNDED BY CONCRETE.
