If you follow the hiking trail from the Park's HQ, when you reach the summit you have a great view of the San Pasqual Valley to the south and east. To the north you can see into the San Diego Wild Animal Park. The benchmark is a pipe with an aluminum(?) cap. Its hard to find among the cactus.

The San Pasqual Valley is the northern most part of the City of San Diego.
