Durham Dog Park Website

The park is located in Piney Wood Park. Piney Wood City Park is located at the intersection of Woodcroft Parkway and Woodlake Drive (between Fayetteville Road and Barbee Road) at the back of the Woodlake subdivision in southwest Durham. The dog park has four distinct play areas spread over more than three acres of land. A small dog and puppy play area allows for small dogs and puppies to socialize without being overwhelmed by larger dogs. The large dog play area offers woods and field areas to play. A special play run area offers a separate space for organized activity such as specific breed play or activities such as agility or flyball. This area is available for scheduling. And finally, there is a smaller space ideal for working with your pet on special tasks such as obedience.

The park also provides poop bags and a water fountain for both dogs and owners in the small and large dog areas. There is a yearly $12 registration fee for Durham residents ($20 for non residents). Your dog must be healthy and have current vaccines to register and registration is required before your dogs may use the park. Dogs must also wear their park registration, ID and rabies tags when at the park. All of the rules and regulations can be found on the DDP website.

Your registration is also valid for the Durham Dog Park at Northgate Park
