The museum is run by the Leland Chamber of Commerce. The museum features exhibits highlighting the childhood of Jim Henson, who grew up in Leland, and the creation of Kermit the Frog and other Muppet characters. Several muppet related items are on display, as well as a certificate given by the state legislature in honor of Mr. Henson.
