Long Description:This shoe tree is located on the North side of McMahon Hall, a
University of Washington dormitory. The dorm has balconies and the
students fling their shoes into the tree from the balconies.
They were flinging shoes into this tree 15 years ago when I
lived on the 11th floor of this building. My husband's (then
boyfriend)balcony faced the tree, so we both had a couple pairs up
there. Due they are probably long gone, the laces rotted through,
but it's nice to see that the tradition has continued.
