This 1860 house is an example of the influence Greek Revival played on architecture in Jefferson, even when the design was Victorian.

Much of the exterior and the original floor plan of this early Victorian house are still intact. The slender Victorian columns on the porches, in the form of a Greek cross in section, are unusual. The design of the window transom above the front door resembles crossed rifles. Even though the house is a Victorian, the Greek Revival style lingers in the doors and the thick entablature (porch roof).
