Lee Creek Valley, a picturesque setting in northwest Arkansas's Ozarks Mountains--ancient sedimentary mountains renowned for their natural beauty and lush oak-hickory forest--was selected as a park site in the 1930s. The Civilian Conservation Corps used native materials to craft the park's CCC/Rustic Style, wood and stone structures that include an impressive native stone dam that spans Lee Creek in the heart of the park forming peaceful 8-acre Devil's Lake.
Situated at the bottom of a picturesque valley in the Boston Mountains of northwest Arkansas is Devil's Den State Park. This 2,200-acre park provides some of the most spectacular Ozark Mountain scenery in the state. A clear mountain creek spills its cool, clear waters over the rocky valley floor with its downward flow slowed only for a moment by a picturesque, native stone dam. The park cafe, store and swimming pool overlook the peaceful 8-acre lake formed by the dam. Modern and primitive camping sites, picnic areas, hiking, equestrian and mountain biking trails, and fishing combine to form a vacation setting second to none.
