This picture is taken at the base of the Space Needle looking up past the roof of the gift shop to the top of the Needle.

The Space Needle was built in 1962 for the Seattle World's Fair. It is hands down the city's most famous tourist attraction. Visit the revolving restaurant at its top or the observation deck above that.
