My mouth just dropped open when I saw this sign. I had seen it featured in a wonderful book called "Vintage Neon", but never thought that I would stumble across it in person.
The washerwoman in the sign moves up and down, scrubbing her laundry in a tub. There are two sets of neon used for the animation.
This is probably my favorite sign that we waymarked on our road trip across the west. So much so that I insisted we take the extra time to drive back at night to get the night shots.
