This is my first waymark and it's quite a few ks from my home coordinates.
On our trip up the Australian West Coast in 2006 we spent a few weeks in the beautiful city of Broome and got the chance to see what's hidden in the mud out there in Roebuck Bay.
Besides the famous Staircase to the Moon and the Dinosaur Footprints this is the third Broome attraction that can only be seen during 2 or 3 days per month at extremely low tides. Check the dates with the tourist office. Though they told us to just "follow the crowd" we decided to record our tracks to make the wreck parts a little bit easier to find for others.
It's a nice wet walk of about 1.5 km from the carpark (S 17° 58.236 E 122° 14.193) till you reach the first wreck. Aqua shoes or clogs are recommended, sharp mussels etc are hidden in the mud! A little girl cut her foot when we were there, so please be careful.

The parts of the three flying boats that sunk here in 1942 are widely scattered across the bay. So I'm adding another four coordinates here:
Site#2 S 17° 58.805 E 122° 15.028
Site#3 S 17° 58.998 E 122° 14.988
Site#4 S 17° 59.041 E 122° 14.845
Site#5 S 17° 58.990 E 122° 14.881

When you get back you might want to wash your feet, so here's another coordinate for you:
S 17° 58.247 E 122° 14.206

Take a picture of you or a member of your party WITH GPS clearly visible at one of the coordinates to log this waymark. Please share your experiences as you enter your picture.
