The historic Woodbine grain elevator that greets visitors at the town’s south entrance is due for a face-lift using a grant from the state. This age-old landmark is owned by United Western Co-op and is the town “skyscraper,” and image well known by this farming community.
At the present time its corrugated metal walls are unpainted and peeling, badly in need of renovation. It is hoped that this symbol of rural America can be restored into a more attractive landmark.
