The Supreme Court Gardens of Perth contain a variety of cultural and historic artefacts. This particular artefact commemorates a deceased Kauri tree, by recalling the relationship between man (humans?) and nature. The design of the statues is attractive and certainly conveys a sense of calm. They are situated in a pleasant spot in the gardens, where visitors can reflect upon this relationship, or merely enjoy their lunch.
