The central square dates from Donna's beginning, and in 2002 it received a major make over. The park is surrounded by businesses on all four sides, but beyond is residential housing, so the park serves as a gathering point for many of the local people who live in the area around the park. Of course all parks seem to have some distinguishing feature, and this park is no exception, having a gigantic chair on display.
There are concerts in the pavilion which attract the younger people, playground equipment for the younger children.
Places to just sit and talk for the older people, and while shade from trees is at a premium, it has open areas for the kids run and play.
A number of the trees have picnic tables under them, plus there is a large and surprisingly well maintained restroom facility. There is a plaque which describes the founding of Donna and a memorial to those who fought and died in our country's wars.
It is the kind of urban park that you can go to and relax while you enjoy your time while you are there.
