The plaque reads:

Frank & Theta Brown

Frank [photo of the couple] Theta
1907-1994 1911-1993

Theta Brown, daughter of the Von Thun family who were early Breckenridge
settlers, was born in the house at 225 South Main Street in 1911.
Frank and Theta Brown resided in the house from 1937 until their deaths.

The Browns were enthusiastic of civil and social community
activities and volunteered countless hours for the betterment of Breckenridge.
Frank Brown served as Summit County Treasurer for 34 years (1940-1974)
and as Mayor of the Town of Breckenridge for 18 years (1946-1964).

The Browns are recognized as leading citizens in the community and
hold an important and permanent place in the history of Breckenridge.
