Auf dem Gelände des Klosters Heisterbach steht eine auffällige Marienstatue. Sie steht direkt an einem großen Baum auf dem Hof zwischen Brauerei und Zehntscheune. Sie ist etwa einen Meter groß und steht auf einer zwei Meter hohen Säule. Auffälligstes Element ist ein aus Glühbirnen gefertigter Heiligenschein, die allerdings inzwischen nicht mehr funktionieren. Ein Glasdach schützt die Statue vor Regen.

Maria ist laut dem Neuen Testament der Bibel die Mutter Jesus Christus und somit eine der zentralen religiösen Figuren des Christentums, wird aber auch im Koran erwähnt. Übereinstimmend sprechen Bibel und Koran von der Jungfrau Maria und einer unbfleckten Empfängnis, die zur Geburt Jesu führte. Maria wird in den meisten Konfessionen des Christentums verehrt und wird oft in Gemälden und Statuen dargestellt.
On the grounds of the monastery Kloster Heisterbach stands a striking statue of the Virgin Mary. It is located right by a large tree in the yard between the brewery and the barn Zehntscheune. It is about one meter tall and stands on a two-meter-high column. The most striking element is a halo made of light bulbs, which, however, no longer work. A glass roof protects the statue from rain.

According to the New Testament of the Bible, Mary is the mother of Jesus Christ and thus one of the central religious figures of Christianity, but is also mentioned in the Koran. The Bible and Koran both agree on the virginity of Mary and the immaculate conception that led to the birth of Jesus. Mary is worshiped in most denominations of Christianity and is often portrayed in paintings and statues.
