Later in his career, sculptor Sid Martin specialized in large fiberglass sculptures shown in action poses. The Dancers, a 17' long by 10' high sculpture, depicts a male and female dancer in a dramatic pose created in 1995-1996, just before he died in 1996. The male dancer is kneeling on his left knee with his right foot on the ground, his right arm held vertically straight ahead and his left arm off the his side. The female figure is standing while leaning forward with her arms above her head and her left foot on the left shoulder of the male dancer in front of her.
