In Walpole, within the Walpole Town Green, is this plaque and benches honoring veterans of World War 2.
The plaque is located in the center of the center part of the Town Green, about 75 ft north of a stone gazebo.
The location is at an old, mature tree. A sidewalk circles the tree. Further out, six stone benches also surround the tree. At the best of the tree is a granite plaque, with the following text:
"Veterans Crossing
Memorial Benches in Honor
of World War II Veterans
Dedicated November 11, 1999
World War II Committee"
