A disused Victorian wall post box in Briden's Camp near Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire, UK. The letter slot is covered with a plate from Ipswich Parcel office in Suffolk which is in a completely different part of the UK!
Tell us about the area the post box is situated.:
A very rural area on the Chiltern hills. The road is a narrow road which would be dangerous to stop on these days (unless you're a VR box Waymarker!). This is possibly why the box became disused

Condition of the box: Good/Average/Poor: Poor

Is this post box still in use?: No

Is VR embossed on the post box or is it an "anonymous" box?: Yes

Any other embossed lettering, such as manufacturer?: Yes

Manufacturer Inscription: WT Allen & Co, London (1881-1901)
