Old Maas Bridge known as "Pont de Jambes". This work has been quoted since the 12th century, but dates back to the 11th century when the Beauregard tower, which marks the border between Jambes and Namur, was built, depending on the Prince-Bishop of Liège and the Count of Namur respectively, and was replaced in 1760 by a fence of two stone pillars, called "Les Dames", which disappeared around 1828. A limestone bridge that has been severely damaged and repaired several times over the centuries, including in 1746 by Denis-Georges Bayar who rebuilt the two wooden arches on the Jambois side as a massive structure; in 1964 there was a large central arch to replace two smaller arches. Rhythm consisting of the naval arch and on both sides three large arches in a weak 3rd point, well fitting. Cast archive. Upstream, on the left bank, remains of a primitive spur abutment. Bridge doubled in width downstream and replaced old façade during restoration by architect Simon Brigode in 1964.
