The community of Aguila is a crossroads town on U.S. Highway 60 in northwestern Arizona. With a population of 798, the major remaining business is the large cantaloupe farm. Far in the past are the days when this was a tourist stop on the way to Los Angeles, farther still the time when the local mines poured money into the economy and freight onto the railroad. Situated along the highway is the Iglesia Evangelica Nazaret, an unimposing building with a sign mounted on a former billboard pole. Services are in spanish and are held Sunday, Wednesday and Friday at 6:30 PM.
