This bench is unusual in that it is purpose built of stone and wood rather than mass manufactured. It sits beside on of the trails through the riparian area where the sounds of birds and the river can be heard without human interruption. The plaque reads "Norman Roberts Lykes 1918 - 1993 "For The Love of Beauty".
