The Chepachet station of the US Post Office is located just north of Glocester Town Hall and Glocester Manton Public Library on Route 44. It is one of two village Post Offices that serves Glocester (population 9,900), a northwestern town in Providence County. The Chepachet branch is in a northern and mostly central part of town.
A conspicuous feature of this store front location is a large gable roof end with cream-colored wood siding that's facing the parking lot. The facade is as wide as the post office's half portion of this two unit plaza, and at least as tall as the space below it. A clapboard sunburst of contrasting blue is incorporated at the top of the Post Office sign. Patrons enter through two separate metal-framed glass doors at the west side of the building. To the left is a room with hundreds of post office boxes and an exterior wall of windows looking out to the parking lot. Visitors walk straight through the right side door to enter the main lobby. A large opening for the full-service counter has two workstations for postal clerks.
