The Soldier-Liberator monument is the central piece of the Soviet Cemetery and Memorial in Berlin.
Inside the monument is a small pavilion displaying an 8x30 ft mosaic. In the center, it shows two Soviet soldiers paying tribute to their fallen comrades. The two soldiers are surrounded be people representing all walks of life in the Soviet Union. The group displays a variety of nationalities (people dressed in traditional Russian clothes and people dressed in Central Asian outfits) as well as various ages and professions.

Originally, the pavilion was open to visitors, but due to growing concerns of vandalism (spray tagging, etc.) is is now closed and can only be seen through the iron bars of the gate (hence the only partial pictures with the flashlight refection).
