Sir Donald Bradman was born in ‘Irena’,a cottage hospital erected c. 1876,and run by midwife Granny Scholz.The stud-framed, weatherboard cottage and the slab kitchen/laundry workers cottage.
The cottage was acquired by Cootamundra Shire Council and developed as a museum to Donald Bradman, opening in 1992 displaying all aspects of Sir Don's career.
