Wagga Wagga Railway Station was deigned in the Victorian Free Classical style and was built in 1879 to coincide with the coming of the railway line from Sydney to Albury. The platform side of the building is brick and the verandah along the platform has columns of fluted iron with decorative frieze and brackets.
The two storey Sationmaster's residence with a timber and iron verandah is located a short distance away
