"Once a popular name for pubs, it was after the two rocks, which mark the entrance to the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and Mount Hacho. This Hercules is an old coaching inn and parts of it have history from the 17th century. It is opposite the parish church where Richard 3rd is reputed to have made his last confession the night before the battle of Bosworth Field."

"Set in the picturesque Leicestershire village of Sutton Cheney, Hercules Revived is an honest English Country Inn. Late in 2012 a team of heritage people and craftsmen totally reformed the tired 17th Century Inn, creating a wonderfully relaxed bar and simple dining on the ground floor with a large open fire, and a series of elegantly decorated, cosy restaurant rooms on the first floor."
