EN: This sundial stands on the main road in Gipf-Oberfrick on a small square. It is a sandstone block on a small pillar labeled on all four sides. On the surface is a round metal plate with the gnomon and the cardinal points. According to the inscription, the clock is located at 8 ° East and 47.5 ° North, the exact point of these coordinates is about 400 meters away, but the numbers are nice and round, and more do you not need for a sundial.
The sundial was donated to the municipality in 1998 together with the lot of land on which it is located. The bronze gnomon was demolished and stolen in early 2013. It was soon replaced by one made of aluminum.
