One of two Glocester Public Library locations, the red-bricked Glocester Manton Library is the Chepachet village branch. Upstairs is one mostly open space and the lower level is a large meeting room. Formerly served as the police station and jail.

Situated on a small hill in 1930, this handsome and stout, one-story, red-brick building is a former police station and jail in Glocester's village of Chepachet. Upstairs is one mostly open space and the lower level is a large meeting room. Located at 1137 Putnam Pike, the Glocester Manton Library is slightly north and east of the center of this western border Rhode Island town.
It is a member of the
Ocean State Libraries consortium. As a member of OSL, which serves the Rhode Island community by sharing materials, services, and electronic resources, library card holders may check out and return books from and to here and any other OSL member institution in the state.
