[GER] Das Fernsprechamt Schlüterstraße in Hamburg-Rotherbaum wurde von 1902 bis 1907 von der Reichspost als Zentralfernsprechamt für Hamburg errichtet. Später beherbergte das Backsteingebäude das Fernmeldeamt 1 Hamburg und das Postamt HH13. Der Entwurf im neogotischen Stil stammt von dem Geheimen Baurat Paul Schuppan und dem Postbaurat Willy Sucksdorf. Das Hauptportal an der Schlüterstraße 51 ist reich verziert. Oberhalb des Haupteinganges befinden sich diese beiden geflügelten Raubkatzen. Im Sommer sind die Figuren wegen des wilden Weines kaum zu sehen.

[ENG] The Schlüterstraße telephone exchange in Hamburg-Rotherbaum was established from 1902 to 1907 by the Reichspost as the central telephone exchange for Hamburg. Later, the brick building housed the Telecommunications Office 1 Hamburg and the Post Office HH13. The design in neo-Gothic style was made by the secret architect Paul Schuppan and the post architect Willy Sucksdorf. The main portal at Schlüterstraße 51 is richly decorated. Above the main entrance are these two winged cats of prey. In the summer the figures are hardly to be seen because of the wild wine.
