Cornwall has been served by passenger train since 1856. The city is a little more than an hour from Montreal to the east and 3.5-4 hours from Toronto in the west. There is no ticket agent at the station - a kiosk allows purchases if they were not made online.
Interestingly, when the St. Lawrence Seaway was created through dams on the St. Lawrence River, the original train line had to be relocated further north.
